My grandmother bought the first house in the 1960's. She was a strong single mother that raised her two children in a very different Porto Covo than today. Porto Covo was a very poor fisherman village, not the tourist spot that it is today.

We always spent our family holidays in the Porto Covo house. My best childhood memories are from going fishing in the early morning with my father and eating the grilled fresh fish!

In 2013, with the need of funds for renovations, we started Chaparro Holiday Rentals. The name Chaparro is a tribute to the name of my father's fishing boat.

We have been grateful to succeed with the renovations while improving our guests satisfaction!
